Faculty & Origins

A working community with serious practitioners at its core.

TMC began in 2016 as a community for senior talent leaders — a place to do real work, with real peers, on the questions that matter. Founded out of the Institute for Contemporary Leadership (ICL), the bet was simple: leaders develop most fully through serious peer dialogue, not through lectures.

Our faculty reflects that bet. Most are partners and senior practitioners at our sister firm Contemporary Leadership Advisors (CLA), where they work daily with C-suite executives, boards, and senior leadership teams. Others are independent leading thinkers and academics in the field. Members get current thinking from people who are still in the practice — without anyone in the room trying to sell them anything.
